Paul is Managing Director of Gemstone Legal which helps law firms to obtain the right banking and finance package to support the business growth ambitions.
Former UK Head of Professional Practices at Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank, Paul has over 30 years financial services experience, and over 14 years specialising in law firm financial management. He has worked with law firms of various sizes and complexity across the UK and Northern Ireland.
Having seen banks shift away legal sector specialism, Paul set up Gemstone Legal to offer firms a trusted, independent approach to finance and risk management. He is also a Law Society approved Lexcel assessor and consultant.
This practical experience ensures that Paul understands the financial and regulatory obligations placed on legal practices. Through his inherent knowledge and understanding of finance and risk management, Paul is uniquely placed to support legal practices by offering independent banking and finance advice to maximise a law firm's approach to cash, supported by a solid understanding of a law firm's operational risk requirements.
